The Hollywood Reporter recently unveiled the top 50 most powerful writer-producers of TV’s “Golden Age.” The list includes Game of Thrones masterminds David Benioff and Dan Weiss to Atlanta creator Donald Glover. The Hollywood Reporter writes that the list is full of those with “the sharpest pens, the wildest visions and the richest deals.”

More than 400 U.S. scripted series are set to air in 2017 according to The Hollywood Reporter. So how did the news magazine pick the top 50 showrunners? The Hollywood Reporter writes that they have “unprecedented deals, surging output, cultural cachet and legit ‘hits.’”

You can see the whole list here, but we pulled out a few for you.

Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang, who created Master of None. THR writes that the show is more of “an experiment in tone than a traditional comedy,” and has earned rave reviews and Emmy nominations.

Kenya Barris, of Black-ish and Grown-ish. Black-ish is considered the “gold standard for broadcast comedy,” writes THR.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss created the hit show, Game of Thrones. It is the biggest TV series in the world, and pulls an average of 31 million U.S. viewers alone.

Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Though they have each locked down their own deals with CBS Studios and have separate projects, the duo has a third season of the “critically beloved musical comedy” coming out on the CW, writes THR.

Shonda Rhimes, a megaproducer who basically owns Thursday nights and created Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder. She just left ABC Studios with the richest deal in TV history for Netflix.

Jennie Snyder Urman, the creator of Jane The Virgin, is one of “the most valued in CBS Studios’ growing stable of writer-producers,” writes THR.
