Steph Curry Tells Fans to Be Respectful During the #Currychallenge

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry wants people to keep it civil when attempting the #Currychallenge trick shot, reports ESPN. 

“I will just say be very mindful of the repercussions of messing with people’s stuff,” he said, according to ESPN. “I do not condone violence. That is the only thing. I do not condone violence.”

Curry attempts the difficult shot before most games, however, on Nov. 6, he made it. The internet immediately started to freak out.

Here’s a play-by-play of what happened: during the layup line before tipping off against the Miami Heat, Curry received the ball. He did a slow-motion Eurostep and then flipped the ball about 30 feet high. It went in, barely brushing the net, writes ESPN, and the whole team celebrated.

Since then, fans have taken to social media to try to re-create the moment in their every day lives.

One fan took Curry’s challenge to a controversial level. In a video, you can see Samuel Grubbs wearing a Curry jersey in the grocery store. He flips an object in the air before it lands in the grocery basket. However, the video later shows some more dangerous stunts: he walks by a group of women at a table and he flips a cup of unknown liquid that splashes on their table and startles them.   Another shot shows jump on top of a car at a stoplight and Eurosteps on the roof before throwing what appears to be a Nerf ball into a toy hoop yelled by his friend. The driver of the car jumps out and screams, “Hey, what are you doing?” The boy immediately takes off running. Watch the video below.

Curry told ESPN that he appreciates the comedic aspects of the video, but wants people to refrain from getting into other people’s space.
