Six New Men’s Stores That’ll Have You Covered Head-to-Toe This Fall

There is but one glorious window of time when style really shines in this fair(ish) city.

Spoiler: it comes right after the dog days and immediately precedes the ones that require a Stay Puft coat just to run to the bodega.

Talking fall. Aka now. Take advantage.

To assist: six fine new openings for gentlemen. Learn ‘em.

Ted Baker SoHo
Some places specialize in boots, some in suits, some in pork-pie hats. But with Mr. Baker, doesn’t matter your needs — he does it all. Whether you have a wedding, an interview or a weekend getaway, you can saunter in and come out ace on the other side. While you’re there, have a gander at their simply awesome skateboards, surfboards and bikes — all exclusive to the SoHo store.

RVS Handmade Eyewear
From classic to vibrant, RVS’s sunnies move the needle into the red in the shade game. Their first ever New York locale, on Bowery, features their current collection and will also launch their new Rebirth Collection on the 21st. Expect a limited-edition range of fashion-forward, mature styles, handmade in Japan and stamped with the exact date the frame was assembled.

Designer Eyes
All the top-notch eyewear you can half-blindly shake a stick at. The 1,850-square-foot WTC palace cost $3.5m to build, and it wears it well. They offer personal eyewear stylists by appointment, along with snazzy concierge services for off-site needs and complimentary espresso and Champagne. Of note: the destination is the only authorized Cartier dealer to sell online in the State, featuring the coveted Santos De Cartier model fashioned from stripped horn.

Outdoor Voices
After opening their NYC pop-up almost a year ago, Outdoor Voices unveiled their first permanent New York retail location just around the corner, at 251 Centre Street. The store, just like its pop-up, will continue to engage with the community, playing host to the brand’s favorite active endeavors, like the OV Joggers Club, dog walks, yoga classes and urban adventures.

Timbuk2
The tried and true baghouse has set up shop in NoHo, with plans for a Brooklyn brick ‘n’ mortar coming next month. Through November 15th, they are offering custom next-day delivery in New York. Design it one day and put it to the test the next. And through December 31st, their “Break Up With Your Bag” campaign lets guests donate their old bags in store, after which TimBuk2 will donate it to a local charity and extend you 30% off an in-store purchase.

R.M. Williams
These people know their boots. And if you’ve yet to discover them, you’re in for a real treat. Handsome and hearty, the founder began by outfitting ranchers in the Outback in 1932. Today, ranchers still sport ‘em, as do bankers, rockers and hipster doofuses. For quality you can bet on, the price tag — about $500 a pop — is a steal.
