From the driving, to the parking, to the not knowing where to drive or park, dinner in LA is harder than it should be. That’s why we created Dinner Plan — your three-step itinerary to a damn good time.
This week: French cuisine and classy cocktails in Hollywood. Here’s your plan.
GTF Shirt
Let’s look classy. Let’s look casual. Let’s buy some Rag & Bone. But before you go online or hit their brick and mortar, drive over to Library in Larchmont. These guys get the styles before everyone else. No idea how. They just do. And they have a sale going on now.

French Dinner
On tap tonight: Parisian-style grub at a small, marble-topped bar. You’ll find it at Petit Trois, Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s new wine bar nestled next to his much ballyhooed Trois Mec. They’re plating mussels, chicken confit, steak frites and croque monsieurs with choice French wines and cocktails. No reservations, but turnover’s quick so you won’t wait long.
Strong Drinks
You’ll feel right at home after entering through the illuminated boxlight door at Grandpa Johnson’s, an authentic art deco bar in Hollywood. Owner Johnny Zander (Green Door Lounge) designed a cylinder-shaped bar out of marble and naval brass so you can always lean comfortably against it. Order a refreshing bourbon concoction called the T-Bizz.
Nota bene: Reservations required. No website. Just call (323) 467-7300.
