Sinclair Broadcast Group CEO Chris Ripley shut down rumors that his company was working on getting former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly to join their team. Per TVNewser, he told analysts on a conference call that his company had no interest in hiring O’Reilly, who left the cable network in April after numerous allegations of his sexual abuse—and proof of tens of millions of dollar in payoffs to cover it up—surfaced.

Ripley said that O’Reilly approached him about a potential job. The Sinclair Group is known for its conservative slant and currently employs former Trump administration official and conservative firebrand Borin Epshtyn as a on-air commentatorRipley said that the company gets approached by people all the time, which is where the rumors are probably coming from.

“He did approach us. We do not have any interest in hiring him,” he said, according to TVNewser.

Sinclair is the largest local broadcast news group in the U.S. and has a pending $3.9 billion deal to acquire Tribune Media. If the deal goes through, the group would have 220 local stations, which would include stations in the L.A. and New York City markets.
