If you’ve ever spent time bonefishing or trail running above the treeline, or even just spent an afternoon BBQing in the back yard, you know that even the shirt on your back can provide only so much UV protection.
And by now you’ve surely heard that the world isn’t getting any cooler. In fact, more UV light will be beaming down on us in the years to come.
In the spring of 2018 you’ll have an added layer of protection a la Columbia, via their new line made with Omni-Shade Sun Deflector fabric. The fabric is coated in tiny dots of titanium dioxide, which act like a mirror to reflect the sunlight, keeping you cooler and shielded from the harmful UV rays that cause cancer.
Folks who have tested it love it, but said you’ll look like a disco ball if you spin around.
We see nothing wrong with that.
