Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel, and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of it. Today: Shinola’s collaboration with Carolina Pet Company, J.Crew’s running-focused collection with Tracksmith, Bose’s latest smart soundbar, and more.

J.Crew

Tracksmith X J.Crew Trackhouse Hoodie

J.Crew’s latest men’s creative director, Brendon Babenzien, is an avid runner, so it makes sense that they would collaborate with the running brand, Tracksmith. The collection includes this collegiate-inspired running hoodies as well as gloves, sunglasses, socks, sweatpants and much more. Both brands made sure to pay attention to details; the sweatpants for example have old-school stirrups for holding the pants leg in place while running. It’s also made out of a four-way stretch moisture wicking fabric. You can lounge around in the collection or test it out on a morning run.

Shinola

Shinola Pet Comfort Cushion

Made in collaboration with South Carolina-based Carolina Pet Company with a commitment to quality and attention to detail, Shinola’s new pet collection leaves the leather behind in favor of nylon, MemoryFiber polyester fill and shearling Berber. Just launched this month and handsome as all get out, the collection includes collars and leashes, coats and sweaters and beds and cushions.

Bose

Bose Smart Soundbar 600

Get immersive sound from this modestly-sized Alexa-equipped soundbar, which utilizes proprietary tech called TrueSpace to intelligently analyze what you’re watching and upmix certain signals.

The Roe and Co Coffee

Roe & Co Cask & Keg, Coffee Stout Finish

The Irish whiskey brand collabs with its neighbors at The Guinness Open Gate Brewery to create this ideal spirit, which features notes of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, wood spice and a bit of fruit. Irish coffee season starts now.

XCJ

XCJ Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles

Founded by a pair of second-generation Chinese Americans, XCJ expanded from a Seattle-based restaurant into the direct-to-consumer space in 2020, one good thing to arise from the pandemic. Already shipping restaurant-quality offerings like soup dumplings and BBQ skewers nationwide, XCJ has expanded its lineup with three new variety kits including Sichuan Dan Dan noodles, a classic wheat noodle dish with a nutty base that’s infused with peppercorns. Try pairing with Impossible Pork.

Short Order

Short Order La Poissonnière Pan

Chef Eric Ripert has Michelin stars, James Beard awards and a spot on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants (still!) with Le Bernardin. So it’s no surprise that he also has his own custom cookware made to his exact specifications. What is a surprise? You now have access to that same cookware. La Poissonnière is an oval-shaped carbon steel pan design by Ripert, made in France and now available through the just-launched brand Short Order (in a limited-edition run of 500). It’s seriously expensive, but not only are proceeds going to NYC nonprofit City Harvest (which collects excess food in the city and redistributes it for free to food pantries, soup kitchens and similar organizations), but buying a pan will also get you a reservation at Le Bernardin and a private tour of the kitchen. If you’re in the city, you can actually pick yours up at the restaurant itself.

Fever Tree

Fever-Tree Blood Orange Ginger Beer

A bad mixer can ruin a good spirit. But a great mixer can make a simple two-ingredient tipple into something fancy. Fever-Tree’s new blood orange ginger beer offers wonderful citrus notes and a nice level of spice. I had a few of these with bourbon the other night and they are extremely tasty. Bonus? It’s just 35 calories per bottle.

Suunto

Suunto 9 Peak Pro

A GPS multisport watch handcrafted with 100% renewable energy in Finland. The Suunto 9 Peak Pro is a versatile piece that can track the depth of your snorkeling trip and then look sharp at dinner back on land. Designed to be long-lasting and repairable to minimize waste, the 9 Peak Pro can track steps, heart rate, sleep, calories, stress, depth and more. The watch will be available in six different versions (four crafted with stainless steel and two with titanium) with a wide variety of accessory straps for purchase.

Smeg

Smeg Fab 10 Veuve Clicquot Refrigerator

Your mini fridge could use an upgrade. Maybe $4,000 is a little steep, but this Smeg refrigerator features a compact freezer, crisper drawer, adjustable shelves and interior LED lighting. Most importantly, you can fit it pretty much anywhere. Freestanding in a room, under a kitchen counter and it’ll still offer the same eye-popping experience. Note: Does not come with Veuve Clicquot.

Cocktail Courier

Stranahan’s x High Camp Après Elevated Cocktail Kit

Featuring Stranahan’s award-winning American single malt whiskey, this handy-dandy cocktail kit contains the ingredients to make three bespoke beverages. The S’mores Old Fashioned, the Bedtime Toddy and the Mile High Cranberry Mule. Delivered in a complimentary travel case, the kit comes complete with a pair of stainless steel High Camp Tumblers. Each kit makes anywhere from 8-16 cocktails depending on how heavy your pour. Remember, don’t drink and ski.
