Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of it. Today: Byredo’s newest innovation, Bespoke Post’s mid-century cocktail fixings and the fifth iteration of the Peak GPS sports watch.

Running Warehouse

Nike ZoomX Streakfly Running Shoe

Nike’s newest super shoe is designed specifically for those short-mid distance runs — 5K’s and 10K’s are the target here — with the swoosh’s premium ZoomX foam and integrated tech on full display. A cousin to the record-breaking Alphaflys, the Streakfly features the aforementioned ZoomX and a responsive Pebax plate for an ultra-light (sub-7oz.) ride that’s meant to crush on track and on road. The Streakfly drops in February, so plan that time trial accordingly.

Bespoke Post

Madison Bar Cart Essentials

An ice bucket and two whiskey glasses, designed for Bespoke Post by Ethan + Ashe and inspired by Don Draper’s bar cart from Mad Men. The box includes a stainless steel peeler for garnishes and a set of two 100% acacia wood coasters.

Coffee Project NY

Irish Coffee Blend, CPNY x Teeling Whiskey Collaboration

Your Irish coffee needs to get the coffee part right. We love Teeling’s, so we’re up for this blend of Central and South American coffees, which is custom made to pair with Teeling’s small-batch Dublin whiskey. (Note: You have to provide the whiskey.)

Ralph Lauren

Polo Ralph Lauren Team USA Winter Olympics Collection

Mr. Lauren has long outfitted the USA Olympic team in ceremonial wear — that is, podium jackets, Olympic Village causals and most all apparel not directly involved with performance — and this year’s collection is as good as any we’ve seen. Toned and hued in the gold old red, white and blue, the capsule features graphic-emblazoned knits galore, the expected heavy outwear and even the odd tie-dye fleece. Whether you’re hoping to emulate beloved Shaun White in his laid-back charmer ways, or just want to support the national team in their snowy endeavors, cop some today.

Byredo

Byredo Olfactive Stéréophonique Fragrance Diffuser

No, it’s not a speaker. I know it looks like a speaker, but I promise, it’s not a speaker. Byredo’s newest product, an albeit tangential departure from their signature home scents and swoon-worthy cologne, is a $1,300 diffuser that allegedly unionizes the senses of scent and hearing. How exactly does this work, you ask? By using “speaker design theory and scent to evoke the meditative effects of ritualistic practice and enhance a listening space.” Duh. Designed with artisanal (like French bread, only high-end audio gear) speaker brand OJAS, the fragrance diffuser is intended to be used in conjunction with a high-fidelity sound system for the full effect. Jury’s out on the whole sound-smell thing, but hey, why not?

Suunto

Suunto 5 Peak GPS Watch

Featuring music controls, outdoor navigation, adaptive training guidance and up to 100 hours of battery life, Suunto’s latest GPS watch is a winner. An evolution of the older Suunto 5, the latest model is 41% lighter, sleeker and capable of over-the-air updates that keep pace with your daily life. Download the Suunto app to access 3D maps, popular training routes and a truly impressive array of services. When it’s time to replace your current timepiece, Suunto has you covered.

Grovemade

Grovemade Keyboard Trays & Wrist Rests

This premium Portland, OR based home office goods company just released a new collection of wrist-saving keyboard trays and wrist rests. The former are crafted from American-grown hardwoods with a natural cork lining and an aluminum base; the latter add a veg-tanned leather bed on top that’ll get softer with age. Your wrists (and your desk) will thank you.

Penfolds

Penfolds Bin 389

In time for Lunar New Year, our favorite Aussie wine is relasing their 2019 Bin 389 Year of the Tiger Magnum. Bin 389 is often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’ — components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. It’s the structure of cabernet sauvignon with the richness of shiraz, as they tell us — in a cool gift box.

Saturdays NYC

Saturdays All Terrain Collection

It was only a matter of time before Saturdays NYC got into activewear. Their new purpose-built line, All Terrain, doesn’t reinvent the category, but it offers their signature take on classic pieces anyone could use. For men, there’s the Active Short, which can do double duty on land and in the water, the Active Tee, which offers a unique blend of performance polyester and wool, and the packable Anorak, which is packed with all sorts of functionality itself. And that’s just the beginning.

Amazon

EVO IRM-1 Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush

Nerd with good teeth here, and I’ve never wanted a toothbrush this badly. Designed after Iron Man’s suit, this co-branded (with Marvel) electric toothbrush features a Stark Arc Reactor charging base for the rechargeable handle. Less interesting but better for your teeth, this brush boasts four “smart cleaning” modes.

Cocktail Courier

Spritz Mindfully

Mindful hosting (and drinking) for Dry January — or, really, any month. New from Cocktail Courier, this kit features Martini & Rossi non-alcoholic aperitivos, soda, tonic and Prosecco (if you want a hint of buzz) — enough to create 16 low- or no-abv drinks.

Unimatic

Unimatic S-Series Watches

Unimatic has made their name on their signature chunky-but-clean dive and field watches. The new limited-edition S-Series slims down the bulk of the case, thanks to Swiss-made automatic movements from Sellita (the core line uses Japanese Seiko movements), and pares down the dial even further. Here, they’re blacked out except for small text at 6 o’clock. In the dark, you’ll see what makes these special: bright Super-LumiNova C1 on the hands, pip and Unimatic logo.

Nobis

Nobis Lunar New Year Reversible Bucket Hat

What better way to celebrate the (Lunar) New Year than with some partywear? This limited-edition bucket hat from Nobis is sure to turn heads, wether you’re flexing the solid red front or tiger-print (year of the tiger — get it?) pattern.
