Any man who’s ever watched Iron Man has probably at some point thought to himself, “I too could do that with unlimited resources and first-person access to cutting-edge technology.”

Well now you can put your money where your mouth is, thanks to Gravity Industries’ Jet Suit.

The 1,000-HP jet suit is the creation of Richard Browning, who we surmised might be pulling one over on us when video of the device first surfaced last year. But the jet suit is in fact very, very real, capable of propelling riders at speeds up to 30 MPH thanks to a pair of hand-mounted thrusters that control speed, amplitude and direction.

Only downside? You’ll need a Tony Stark-esque bank account to purchase this bad boy: only one exists, and it’s currently on sale at Selfridges London for $442,396. That price does include a “free” crash course at Gravity’s Flight Team Training hangar just a short trip outside London, though.

If you’re hesitant to drop that much on something that was until recently considered science fiction, Selfridges is also hosting a VR experience that gives potential buyers a firsthand look at what flying the jet suit is like. How very Q of them.
