It might be the priciest bidding war in the Hollywood Hills this year. Back in May, fashion designer Tom Ford reportedly paid $53 million for 1892 Rising Glen Road, a property once owned by Albert “Cubby” Broccoli, who produced 007 films from Bond’s debut in 1962’s Dr. No through 1989’s License to Kill. Ford is believed to have outbid Beyoncé and Jay-Z for a home built in the “French Normandy” style in 1959 and remodeled in 2011, including a living room with 25-foot ceilings and a fireplace; an outdoor pool-deck terrace with a pool, jacuzzi, and built-in barbecue; and tennis courts.
