Most kids dream of building a getaway treehouse. Well, someone in Cape Town, South Africa, did just that. A client of Malan Vorster Architecture Interior Design requested a cabin-like, one bedroom hideaway resembling a treehouse in Constantia. The structure is located in a small clearing within a forest-like garden. Inspired by the trees already on the property, the building is a “vertically arranged clearing in the forest.”
There is a living space on one level, a bedroom on the second and a roof deck on the third. There is also a plant room on the ground level below the building. The space also houses a patio and dining area.
