Actress Melissa Gilbert claims that director Oliver Stone sexually harassed her during an audition for his film, The Doors. According to Deadline, Gilbert told her story on Andy Cohen’s satellite radio show Radio Andy.
At first, Gilbert was wary of naming Stone, for fear of “backlash,” she said, and explained that once she was so humiliated during an audition because she had embarrassed him “in a Social situation,” she ended up running out of the room crying.
But then she said, “Oh f-ck it! It was Oliver Stone, and it was The Doors,” according to Deadline.
Gilbert said that Stone wrote a special scene that he wanted her to do for him physically in the casting room. She called it “humiliating and horrid.”
According to Deadline, Gilbert said she was auditioning for the Meg Ryan role. The scene Stone wrote had her on her hands and knees saying “Do me, baby.”
“I never really talked about it — and it was all because I had said something and embarrassed him publicly,” she said, according to Deadline.
This is not the first allegation against Stone. Former Playboy model Carrie Stevens alleges that he groped her during a party.
Stone recently backtracked on his comment about Harvey Weinstein, saying, “It’s not easy what he’s going through” in regards to the three decades worth of sexual assault allegations against the now-infamous director, according to Deadline.
