A photo of Canadian man mowing his lawn in the face of a raging tornado has whipped up a frenzy on social media.
Theunis Wessels’ wife Cecilia snapped the photo, which has since gone viral, as a tornado passed near their home in Three Hills, Alberta.
In an interview with the BBC, Cecilia said Theunis was “fully aware” of the twister but wasn’t concerned.
“I did ask him if he was coming inside with that thing in the clouds when I turned to come inside and he calmly said no,” she told AP.
Although the twister looks like it is right at their doorstep, Cecilia clarified that it was more than a mile away from their home at the time. She said the tornado was moving away from the house and was gone from sight in less than five minutes.
No one in the town was injured during the storm and only minor structural damage was reported. Also of note: The Wessels’ lawn looked immaculate.
