Introducing National Sawdust: 13,000 square feet of musical innovation six years in the making, swinging doors wide in Williamsburg this October and now selling tickets.

Used to be an actual sawdust factory.

Now it’s a state-of-the-art recording space and live music hall spawned by musical gurus the likes of Suzanne Vega, Philip Glass, Laurie Anderson, James Murphy and Creative Director Paola Prestini.

Yes, it’ll be an instant cornerstone of New York’s music and art scene. And tickets are just now on sale now for the Oct. 1 commencement.

Opening Night: Discover The Space

First show features group-in-residence ACME along with The National guitarist Bryce Dessner and Glass apprentice Nico Muhly. Second show: ‘90s gone-but-not-forgotten babe beacons Cibo Matto perform acclaimed album Hotel Valentine for the first time in 15 years. Buy tickets

Cole Ramstad and Special Guests

Beloved frontman and staple to the NY underground Cole Ramstad will be joined by friend Nick Paul of St. Lucia for a night of soul, jazz, R&B, and, well, the unexpected. Buy tickets

Artist-in-Residence: Alicia Hall Moran Presents The Five Fans

A testament to the progressive venue, the evening will meld classical sounds with pop, global beats and Americana. The first in a series of five performances at Nat’l Sawdust from chanteuse Alicia Hall Moran (Porgy and Bess). Buy tickets
