This is about you, 5-30 of your closest friends and the gameday experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
This is about sports, because hey, we live in Chicago.
This is about Big Game Air, the new same-day, game-day jet service that’ll whisk you to just about any sporting event and back, now taking reservations.
This was made for bachelor parties. For sports-loving clients. And for all youse Bill Swerski superfans with a little F-You money lying around.
The brainchild of Chicago hospitality vets Arturo Gomez and Todd Rubin, Big Game Air is all about making the once-impossible possible: watching your favorite team, in any major city, on any given day, and getting back home on the same day.
Which is about as high-end as you can get. Big Game, however, is accessible to all. The service — which includes a private jet as well as ground transport to and from the airport and stadium (note: it does not include tickets, though they claim SeatGeek is their ticketing partner) — is about as members-only as you can get without carrying a card.
One look at the upcoming sporting events and you’ll realize Gomez and Rubin are huge Big Ten fans. But given how they’re open to customizing every itinerary, you can charter a private jet to see any Chicago sports team. All you gotta do is send ‘em the details.
Other extras worth negotiating: non-commercial travel routes, specialty packages (including elevated food and drink packages and local tailgating) and the option to host a reception party at the jet hangar.
Otherwise, you’d do well to sign up for any of their already-listed events. We’re eyeing the Green Bay trip with Bears Pro Bowler Jerry Azumah and the trip to Nashville to watch the Predators and the Blackhawks.
Also: Super Bowl, anyone?
Of course, an experience like this doesn’t come cheap. Prices range from $1,200 to $2,200, depending on the package.
Attainable? Perhaps. Memorable? You betcha.
