There should be an Olympic gold medal for this.
During the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympics, bobsledders competed at the St. Moritz-Celerina Olympic bobsled run.
And these days, visitors can still do something similar, jetting through the multiple, hairpin-ish turns of the 5,649-foot-long run—between two professionals, of course—at speeds of up to 84 mph.
But Subaru recently had an even better idea: Get a professional rally car driver (Mark Higgins), strap him into a Subaru WRX STI, put him at the top of the run, and let him press his pedal to the metal. Of course, his team needed to put on some especially made, studded snow tires for the feat, but the rest was up to him.
