Steve McQueen’s 1934 Indian Sport Scout is now up on the auction block.
You know, the speed-obsessed superstar who once said, “I’m not sure whether I’m an actor who races or a racer who acts.”
It’s the envy of any motorcycle collector; the envy of any red-blooded man.
After going for $177,500 in its inaugural sale in 2006, the Sport Scout ranks as one of the most expensive motorcycles ever auctioned.
According to James Stensel from Bonhams, host of the upcoming auction, “Few machines boast such impressive ownership history, and I can think of few other machines I personally would wish to own more.”
Regarded as one of the late legend’s favorites among his grandiose collection, the Sport Scout — now valued at $93,000 — will be taking bids through October 18th. The very lucky (and deep-pocketed) winner will go home with a piece of history and a State of Idaho Certificate of Title signed by the King of Cool himself.
While you’re at it, take a shot at scoring McQueen’s iconic racing suit from his role as Michael Delaney in Le Mans.
Hey, gotta complete the look.
