Renovo’s wood-framed bicycles and Glenmorangie whiskey barrels are a collaboration we didn’t know we were waiting for.

A shining, whiskey-hued steed, Renovo made this one single-malt smooth for the famed Scotch distillery’s Beyond the Cask series. To mimic the stave, the Portland-based bicycle maker rounded the hollow body into a trapezoidal shape.

They also added Shimano Ultegra 6800 shifting and braking, custom 28 spoke Velocity Aileron Comp wheels, Vittoria Rubino Pro 700x28mm tires and a gel-padded rump rest a la Selle Italia. Primo stuff.

And it rides like a dream, both heavy on the road and light to carry and maneuver. The deposit is $1,000 with final price that goes north of $6,000 with customization, which for a high quality touring bike isn’t outrageous. Add the fact that it’s also a masterful work of art and you almost can’t afford not to buy it.

Seeing as it’s a collector’s edition, you may want to hop on it.
