Along the spectrum of electric cars both conceptualized and realized, certain models stand out.

On price, the Solo is top dog. Power? Zero’s UTV. Performance? Hard to deny Tesla’s P100D.

Which brings us to the Trezor concept that Renault just unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, a two-seat electric coupe which, for our money, is now the clubhouse leader for pin-up potential.

With a design based on the concepts of authenticity and modernity, the Trezor features warm lines, carbon bodywork with contrasting surface finishes, red glazing, fiber-optic laser lighting, a metallic finish and a one-piece clamshell roof that’s supposed to lift like the lid of a jewelry box.

The interior of the car is decked out with high-end touches like dashboard made of red wood with a touchscreen display, a front-of-the-vehicle luggage compartment and red leather seats.

The 350-HP Trezor can do 0-62 thanks in under four seconds thanks to its Formula E-inspired motor and also has a Rechargeable Energy Storage System that saves power while braking.

“This concept car is the fruit of a freedom of expression and prepares the way for the trends we are likely to see in our upcoming vehicles,” according to Renault. “These trends fall into two categories: Easy Life and French Design.”

This calls for a little “Zou Bisou Bisou.”
