A driver in South Yorkshire, England crashed a £200,000 (about $261,600) Ferrari he owned for just an hour.
According to police, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia veered off the highway and went flying 50 meters down a bank. The car then burst into flames. Luckily, the driver escaped with only minor cuts and bruises, according to the police.
When officers asked the driver what sort of car he had, he responded, “It was a Ferrari,” according to The Guardian.
“I’ve only just got it, picked it up an hour ago,” the driver said.
The police also said that they do not believe excess speed was a factor, but that the road conditions were wet at the time. They wrote in a Facebook post that when they arrived on the scene, the vehicle was on fire and the South Yorkshire fire and rescue were “in attendance squirting water all over some kind of sporty motor.”
