Exciting new debuts from BMW, Jaguar, and Land Rover are joining sports cars, like the new Aston Martin Vantage and Corbetter ZR1, at the Los Angeles Auto Show, according to Bloomberg.
Aston Martin introduced photos of the $149.995 2018 Vantage, a four-liter AMG twin-turbo V8 couple that gets a remarkable 503-horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque, reports Bloomberg.
The car is the new face of Aston Martin, as the company tries to attract younger buyers who usually want flashy colors, and more-aggressive angles along the body. Bloomberg writes that the car company doesn’t normally introduce cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show each November but will debut the new corvette Nov. 29 through Dec. 10 for the annual event.
Most major supercar makers skip auto shows like this altogether because they don’t think their high-net-worth customers frequent auto shows to make a purchasing decision. The Vantage being at this show will, therefore, be a rare bid to get mass attention for a car that has elite-level performance and craftsmanship, according to Bloomberg.
However, it is not like the Aston will be alone on the stand. More than 50 global and North American debuts will happen during the show in LA this week. Corvette meanwhile is introducing its fastest model to date, the new 2019 ZRI. It has “supercharged, 755-horsepower V8 engine and a chevron-patterned carbon-fiber hood for extra lightweight performance, plus improved interior accents such as Alcantara trim throughout and heated seats,” according to Bloomberg and can reach 210 mph.
BMW is also going to show a cutting-edge performance car that will mark the return of its highest-end line. Porsche will be bringing a hybrid and hatchback version of its bestselling sedan. Jaguar will bring its XJR575 long-wheelbase sedan for a U.S. debut as well, according to Bloomberg.
Jaguar, BMW, Land Rover, and Lincoln will all be bringing SUVs, though they might be hard to spot between the Corvette and Vantage.
