What happens when an internationally renowned business aircraft manufacturer sits down with an Italian hypercar maker? Magia, appropriately named after the Italian word for “magic,” that’s what.
Airbus Corporate Jets has teamed up with Pagani to produce a new cabin design for its ACJ319neo—a business jet selling for just shy of $100 million. The key feature of the design, dubbed “Infinito,” is its “sky ceiling,”—a glass display window that runs along the top of the aircraft.
It also has the dual function of being able to “display images,” which we can only assume means strobe lights, constellation maps, and maybe, if the captain lets you lay down on the floor, a movie.
Another one of its cooler features is the walls between each zone of the airplane, which go from opaque to transparent by hitting a button. In other words, if one part of your team was on a conference call in one zone, the other could be having a relaxing cocktail in the lounge area with complete separation.
Pagani took the lead on the interior flourishes like the soft-leather carpets, wooden floors, carbon-fiber furniture, and light-emitting diodes that make mood lighting possible.
The ACJ319neo can fly eight passengers 6,750 nm (or 15 hours).
