How much sex you’re having isn’t about your looks, according to new research.
Maxim Magazine reports that a study conducted by Queensland University of Technology in Australia, which spoke to 3,000 men and 1,500 women, found that men who are emotionally stable, conscientious, and outgoing were having more sex than the dudes pumping iron day in and day out.
Researcher Dr. Stephen Whyte explained that “findings suggest that the greater variance in male traits and their particular combinations may provide an advantage for them when it comes to sex and reproduction but that doesn’t appear to be the case for the women.”
Therapist Bianca Rodriguez told the New York Post that women “want to feel safe, they want their feelings to be cherished.”She added that “women are more discerning than men when it comes to sex, and they’re looking for qualities in a man that would indicate stability, that they’ll stick around.”
