“Red Dead Online” Finally Goes Live

It's a new day for gamers in the Wild West.

The smash hit game Red Dead Redemption, a Western-themed action-adventure game, not only got a sequel released this year (almost a decade after the first game saw critical acclaim), but now has a multiplayer online experience you can mosey around in: Red Dead Online.

The online beta opens November 27 for players with the ultimate edition of Red Dead Redemption 2, GQ reports, and to all players on Friday, November 30.

Gamers can team up with one another to form a posse of players who can banter around campfires, explore the wild west together and also, of course, take part in shootouts with other players and NPCs in the vast open environment.

Rockstar, the company behind Red Dead and the massively played Grand Theft Auto franchise, has kept details about the new online experience under wraps.
