“Game Of Thrones” Releases Single-Malt Whisky Line

Winter is coming. So is this new buzz.

Game of Thrones has a released a line of whisky to keep us warm this winter (and feeling buzzed until the final season airs in 2019). HBO has teamed up with Johnnie Walker brand Diageo, reports Men’s Journal.

Each bottle is named after a recognizable house of Westeros including House Stark, House Tyrell and an all-black version for the Night’s Watch. A different Scottish distillery was used to create each house whisky based on the distillery’s history and location. While supplies last, bottles are $30 and up.

“Scotland, much like the Seven Kingdoms, has a diverse and varied landscape,” says Dan Sanborn, senior vice president of culture and partnerships at Diageo told the Chicago Tribune Opens a New Window.  “Each distillery has its own unique character and produces a distinctive whisky representative of the local Scottish terroir.”
